The coin’s face value is 1 Australian Dollar. The reverse shows the image of an Australian Emu, which appears on the Australian coat of arms and asserts the country’s motto “Advance Australia”. The animal is placed against a background of a typical Australian wilderness and is surrounded by the inscription: “Australian Emu”.
