The reverse shows an emu pair, located near a watering hole, against the background of a typical Australian landscape. The obverse of the coin depicts the image of Queen Elizabeth II designed by well-known Jody Clark, along with the inscription "Elizabeth II Australia" and the denomination of the coin.
