Limited mintage

The coloured Australian Emu coins are characterized by a limited mintage of 2,500 pieces struck. The exceptionally precise selection of color palette in the design creates an impression of realistically observing emu families in their natural Australian habitat.

The excellent production quality, the purest silver fineness, precise craftsmanship by a renowned mint, and limited mintage make the Australian Emu a valued asset, its worth i

The magnificent
value adding brilliance to the noble collection

Metal Market Europe, as Perth Mint authorized distributor and exclusive distributor of the Australian Emu coins, presents another coin, a colored edition from the Australian Emu series. The emblematic, endemic Australian Emu, symbolizing continuous progress, reflects Australia's national motto: "never backwards, always forward”. This motto splendidly confirms and represents the 125-year craftsmanship of The Perth Mint, celebrating its jubilee in 2024.

Rewers

The reverse of the coin shows a coloured image of a mature, protective male emu, who caringly guards the safety of, recently hatched, unfed emu babies. The father's piercing, aggressive gaze and distinctive silhouette position indicate possible impending danger amidst the natural Australian habitat, the bushy steppe. The male as a father presents both a concerned posture as well as full readiness to protect his offspring. The magnificent reverse design was prepared by a talented designer Sean Roger, who creates numismatic works for The Perth Mint. The year of issue has been stamped on the reverse side, and there is also information about the purity of the bullion and the weight of the coin. Additionally, the design features a security measure in the form of the engraving "P125," which signifies the 125th anniversary of the establishment of The Perth Mint.

Awers

The obverse of the silver coin features the image of King Charles III. It is significant that, for the first time in history, the design of the coin from the Australian Emu series presents a effigy of His Majesty King Charles III. All previous denominations featured a portrait of the deceased Queen Elizabeth II in a crown, the longest-reigning monarch in the world. The obverse design also includes information about the issuing country and the coin's face value along with the initials of the designer Dan Thorne.
